DAVAO DEL NORTE GAISANO MALL SOON

This town will soon see the rise of big shopping center as Gaisano Grand Mall Carmen is soon to start construction early next year.

Mayor Marcelino Perandos said the new mall will be located in newly acquired three-hectare property.

Perandos said this is to show that business is alive in his town and that investors are very much welcome to invest here.

“I am happy about the turnout of events in the past years during my incumbency. We are also recipient of several awards because of our efforts to make the town a competitive one,” Perandos said during a recent interview in his office.

Perandos, who is on his second term as the municipal mayor, said their successes were due to the concerted team efforts of other political leaders in Carmen especially his vice mayor, Alberto Sarin, and the rest of the municipal council members.

“We work as a team. That’s why, we have been successful in all our endeavors,” he said.

The town was recently conferred the Seal of Good Housekeeping Award by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) with a corresponding P1 million as cash prize.

“Actually this is already our second award from the DILG. In the first award, we used the money to construct the Punenarya ng Bayan. The second cash prize will be used to purchase an ambulance. We are always looking after the health of our people,” he said.(PNA)
