Heard about the proposed transport system that was tackled yesterday by the Davao Council?
According to the news, METROPOLITAN INDIVIDUAL SYSTEM OF TRANSPORTATION will set up an ELEVATED RAIL-PERSONAL RAPID TRANSIT(MISTER-PRT).
The proposal claimed that this will answer the traffic jam, expensive fuel, and the increasing road accident here in the city.
What is a MISTER-PRT?
It is a HIGH LEVEL MINI TAXI that looks like this.
An innovative public transportation system for cities that includes Davao City wherein inventor Ollie Mikosza took notice that Davao is a potential city to have a MISTER-PRT.
A small car size, fully automatic, driverless vehicles(Pods) that would travel interdependently hanging under an overhead network of light guideways, 5-10 m above street level.

All rides are only on passenger demand, so there is no specific route or timetables.
The initial proposed plan will covered the 10 kilometer network from Davao International Airport to the City Hall. Stations will be in between are Buhangin-Catitipan, Damosa Lanang, SM Lanang, DCWD, SPMC, ACD or NSO, SSS, ABREEZA MALL, Victoria Plaza, Gaisano Mall, ADDU or Marco Polo Hotel, and Rizal-Anda station.

Maximum of 5 pax passengers. With an average speed of some 50 km/h.

Isn't it great? Another first in Davao City if this proposal will fully approve by the council.
This is really suitable here in Davao City considering the size of our roads and busy downtowns pack with traffic jam.

If Davao spearheaded this PRT, sure na magsusunudan ibang cities. hahaha Davao council please approve this project.
