Starting September 11, 2017, Monday, Davao City will start issuing citation tickets to all violators.
Davao Anti-Jaywalking Ordinance was implemented on December 1, 2016, back then violators were not given penalties but there were invited to attend seminars regarding the said ordinance.
For this year, the City Government of Davao will continue to implement the ordinance wherein violators will be given citation tickets and pay a fine of P100 at the Treasurer's Office for the first offense plus additional community service for four hours to be facilitated by the Davao City Social Services and Development Office (DCSSDO).
This full implementation is to intensify the traffic rules and regulations Davao City Ordinance 778 also known as Comprehensive Transport and Traffic Code.
