PRISAA National Games 2019 is all set in Davao City

PRISAA NATIONAL GAMES an annual, week long competition participated by more or less 10,000 delegates coming from 500 private universities and colleges from 17 regions all over the Philippines.

A competition in more than 18 Olympic sports having its biggest collegiate national game of private schools coming from different regions.

PRISAA 2019 will be held here in Davao City on May 19 to 25, 2019.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, PSC Chairman William "Butch" Ramirez, showbiz and sports celebrities will be invited to grace the opening of the PRISAA National Games 2019.

Officials from Commission on Higher Education of 17 regions, National Sports Association and the commissioners of the Philippine Sports Commission will also present during the event. Other national government and different officials of LGUs of the Davao Region are also enjoined to participate during the Opening Ceremonies. 

PRISAA Games sports events include are as follows: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Baseball, Boxing, Beach Volleyball, Chess, Dance sports, Football, Karatedo, Sepak Takraw, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, and Weightlifting. Other academic and cultural events include Oratocrical, Vocal Duet, Vocal Solo, PRISAAyawan and Mutya ng PRISAA.

The following events will be highlighted in the PRISAA National Game:

• Athletes Parade & Opening Ceremonies. A grand presentation of athletes and delegates per region depicting their culture and pride to be followed by a well-choreographed Opening Ceremonies. Special guests & celebrities will highlight this event.

• Mutya ng PRISAA. 17 finest beauties from the best universities and colleges will compete for the title as they showcase their talents, extra-ordinary beauties and wit in Davao’s big dome.

• PRISAA Takbuhang Makulay (Color Run). This is a prelude event of PRISAA, with thousands   of runners participating (athletes, students and public). PRISAA is endeavoring to make this as a grand pre-Opening event.

• PRISAA National Cultural Competition. Finest college amateur singers of the country are gathered in one song festival, well-choreographed by Mr. Baron Garcia. Another event is PRISAAYAWAN a dance competition for the junior division (high school category)

Davao City with EMAR Learning Center and University of Mindanao as primary PRISAA member -institutions leading the hosting committee backed up by the City and Provincial government of Davao respectively.

PRISAA is also partnered by the Philippine Sports Commission, Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education and the Technical Education and Skills Authority.
