Davao City 1st Floriculture Park

Mayor Sara Duterte open the 1st Floriculture Park in Davao City

Florists in the city lauded the move of the City Government for opening the Floriculture Park located along Candelaria St., Ecoland, Davao City.

“This has been a dream coming true for our group, and we thank the good mayor for entrusting us this Floriculture Park,” said Ma. Victoria C. Jimenez, chairperson of Floriculture Industry Council of Southern Mindanao (FICSMIN).

During the formal opening last May 18, 2012, Mayor Sara Duterte said that, “Partnership with the private sector is imperative in our efforts of nation building. I am happy that FICSMIN has been very supportive of our programs in the city.”

“Rest assured that the City Government will continue to support every endeavor that you will undertake for the development of our Floriculture Park.” Mayor Duterte added.

Jimenez also added that, “being a partner of the City Government we will also try our very best to give back whatever returns we could give for the city. This is a give and take relationship.”

Among the items displayed in the park are flowers, ornamental plants, bonsai trees, floral arrangements and garden tools and accessories. The park is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Floriculture Park is the nearest addition to the units under the City Economic Enterprise.
