44 New Civil Engineers from MINDANAO take oath in Davao City

Forty-four new civil engineers from Mindanao took their oath before the Municipal Trial Court (MTC) Judge Leo T. Madrazo during simple but solemn rites hosted by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), Davao City Chapter last Monday evening at the Apo View Hotel, this city.

After Judge Madrazo administered the oath to the new civil engineers, he congratulated them and their parents as well as advised the new professionals to use their skills and talents in helping further boost the development of Davao City and the rest of Mindanao.

At the same time, PICE Davao City Chapter President Engr. Erdsan Rene S. Suero, in his message to the new civil engineers whom he warmly welcomed into the PICE as new members, emphasized that they should actively participate in future projects and activities of the organization that focused on members’ welfare and community development. He also informed them that PICE is now celebrating its 75th year with the theme “Members First”.

Other guests that gave their inspiring messages include Director Josephine V. Liamzon of the Professional Regulation Commission XI, Regional Manager Julius S. Maquiling of the National Irrigation Administration and Engr. Ariel A. Lagmay, Past President of the PICE Davao City Chapter.

Engr. Lionel G. Uy of the University of Mindanao, 7th place of the May 2012 board examination was among the new engineers who took their oath and was asked to give a short message during the affair.
