GREENWICH Victoria Plaza Davao City SUPPORT Davao City Ban of Plastic and Styrofoam

Plastic and Polysterene (Styrofoam) will be banned here in Davao starting June 28, 2012.  Non-biodegradable plastic bags and styrofoam as food and beverage containers will no longer allowed.

Most of the fast food chain is using this kind of materials.  According to the ordinance, only recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable containers are allowed to be used as food and beverage containers.  In this, The GREENWICH DAVAO supports such call.

We dined at their place last night together with my daughter and I found out that their using plates, spoon, fork, cups (not the plastic one).  They are still planning to change the container and the plastic spoon of their FROZEN CHOCO, in order to answer their full support for the said bans.

But nevertheless, an action made by their Store Branch implies that we Dabawenyos support the said ordinance. And little by little we will live free from plastics and styrofoam.

June 28 is fast approaching hope everyone is ready for the great change of our City.
