THE DMC Urban Property Developers Incorporated (UPDI) is eyeing to construct a mixed-use high-rise condominium within this year at Ecoland in Davao City.
Engineer Leonora Gutierrez, director for sales, marketing and customer care of DMC-UPDI, said their first high-rise infrastructure will be composed of 18 to 21 levels.
Gutierrez said the condominium will be sitting in a two hectare-land area, which will be maximized for both residential and commercial purposes.
"May mga restrictions tayo for commercial establishments (There are restrictions for commercial establishments)," Gutierrez said.
She explained that any form of noise like videoke bars and businesses that harm the environment are prohibited in the area.
The groundbreaking for the big project will take place sometime in June or July, according to Gutierrez.
The executive said construction works will also run for about three to five years.
"Yung Magallanes (Residences) nga three years bago natapos (Our Magallanes Residences took three years to be finished)," Gutierrez said while making comparison as to the intensity of construction works for both infrastructures.
Gutierrez also reported that over 90 percent of the overall number of available units in Magallanes Residences was already sold.
The condominium is almost complete, with some construction works being done in its third building.
She said the Magallanes Residences is worth P750 million.
Other projects of DMC-UPDI include Hacienda and Palmetto Residences, which are also nearing completion.
Apart from the soon-to-rise building in Ecoland, Gutierrez bared the real estate company plans of erecting another mixed-use high-rise building in the city, but refused to give more details as this has yet to be finalized.
